Universal worm gearboxes UZP- solutions for the world in motion
ZTS Sabinov introduces new line of mechanical worm and combined worm gearboxes that consist of six lines:
Typ Z - gearbox – worm
Typ CZ - gearbox with spur and worm gear set
Typ ZZ - gearbox with double worm gear set
Typ EZ - gearbox – worm with electric motor
Typ ECZ - gearbox with spur and worm gear set with electric motor
Typ EZZ - gearbox with double worm gear set with electric motor
Use of gearboxes is universal. They allow decrease of rotation frequency of prime mover, in case of
deliveries with electric motor, decrease of rotation frequency of electric motor's rotor to required
rotation frequency of prime mover’s shaft at coincident increase of torque at constant gear ratio.
Gearboxes may be operated in humid and dusty environment. However it has to be chemically unobjectionable, non-aggresive, unless it will unfavourably influence their correct function in both directions of shaft rotation.
Operation of gearboxes and gearboxes with electric motor is provided for by diverse version of slow-running shaft, different way of mounting to base or driven machinery with a possibility of variable arrangement of their fast-running shaft.
Cylindrical end of shaft is equipped with centring holes and thread according to STN 01 4917.
Springs on rolling ends of shafts are assigned to their diameters according to STN 02 2507.

Gearboxes of Z, CZ and ZZ
are designed using modular-design principle.
Worm gear set mounted in roller bearings is located in gearbox body of basic Z type. CZ type is created from basic type by assignment of gear set with spur gearing and its fast-running shaft mounted in roller bearings. Spur-cut gear is mounted in worm shaft of basic type. CZ type is created from basic type by assignment of gear set with spur gearing and its fast-running shaft mounted in roller bearings. Worm gear is mounted in worm shaft of basic type.
In case of size 160, worm gear is mounted in hollow shaft, which is mounted in separate roller bearings.
Lubrication of gear sets as well as of bearings getting below level of oil filling in gearbox depending on its mounting position is provided for by splashing.
In case of CZ and ZZ types and sizes 100 and 125, in contrast to size 160, oil filling is common for individual gear sets.
Bearings located under the level of lubricating oil in gearbox are lubricated with grease.
In each mounting position of gearbox, filler hole of lubricating oil refill is located in its top section, whereas it server concurrently for deaeration of gearbox. In bottom part, discharge hole is located. Oil level in gearbox is checked by surface screw. Inner gearbox space is sealed with Gufero shaft seal at the point of fast-running and slow-running shaft.
Gearboxes of EZ, ECZ and EZZ
are created by connection of electric motor to individual types of Z, CZ and ZZ using funnel shaped adaptor, shaft coupling dimensioned for engine power and they constitute one unit as a whole. Electric motor bearings are lubricated with fat filling.
